My protection plan pays a lump sum on death of the policyholder or any other persons covered.

BENEFIT  

Death Benefit

The death benefit is the sum assured payable

Accidental Death Benefit

In the event of death by an accident, a benefit equivalent to 125% of the sum assured becomes payable

Loyalty Cash Back

A sum of 5% of all premiums paid over the last 2 years is refunded after every 2 years as long as the policy is active and no claim has been made. The cashback will effectively be paid at the start of the 3rd, 5th, 7th etc. anniversary of the policy.

Groceries Benefits

In the event of death of the policy holder during the policy term, we will pay a lump sum amount of N50, 000.00 to your family for groceries purchase.

Family Support Benefits

In the event of death of the policy holder during the term of the policy, we will pay a benefit of N50,000 each month for three month to your family for income support

PRODUCT FEATURES  
LIVES COVERED

In additional to the main policyholder the following people can also be covered on payment of additional premium;

  • Spouse (multiple spouses is allowed)
  • Siblings over the age of 18
  • Parents and parent in-laws up to age 74
WAITING PERIOD

There is a waiting period of 6 months in the event of natural death

SUM ASSURED

The Minimum sum assured for the policy holder is N1m while the maximum sum assured is N100m. For additional lives;

  • Spouse - maximum 100% of policyholder's sum assured
  • Other lives' sum assured is maximum of 50% of the policyholder's sum assured subject to a maximum of N10m
PREMIUM FREQUENCY

Policyholders will be allowed to make monthly, quarterly, semiannual or annual premium payments

POLICY TERM

This policy lasts for as long as the policyholder is alive

LAPSE PERIOD

If the policy has been in-force for at least 5 years the policy will not lapse but the benefit will be prorated in line with contribution paid

The policy will lapse if no premium is received during the reinstatement period. Once the policy has lapsed, it will not be possible to accept premium into this policy and the policyholder will have to take out a new policy if cover is required

REINSTATEMENT PERIOD

If your premium is not received after the 90 days grace period, the policy will enter a reinstatement period. Within 12 months from the date the policy enters a reinstatement period, you may pay all missed regular premium and we will automatically reinstate your policy. The policy may be reinstated (activated) in accordance with the terms and conditions that we may specify at the time of reinstatement. You will only be entitled to your accumulated fund value during the reinstatement period.
